Day 1Arrive in San José
Fly to San José.
Day 2San José
Visit Café Britt, the most famous of coffee plantations in Costa Rica. This tour will take you into the world of coffee to show you the process of a single Arabica Costa Rican coffee—from the plantation to your cup! Learn about the important role that coffee has played in Costa Rica’s economic development as well as some history of coffee in the world. After lunch, become an expert coffee taster when coffee experts show you the art of brewing a perfect espresso or cappuccino. (B,L)
Day 3San José–Arenal
This morning, transfer to the Arenal Volcano area, where you will stay two nights. In the afternoon, take a guided walk through the lava trails of the volcano and appreciate how nature has found a way to recover from the lava flows. After the walk, visit the Tabacón Hot Springs and take a dip in the natural springs and pools of mineral waters surrounded by lush, tropical forest. Enjoy dinner at the Hot Springs. (B,D)
Day 4Arenal
This morning, visit the Arenal Hanging Bridges, a network of suspension bridges, platforms, and trails built in the cloud forest. From here, explore the forest canopy with a bird’s-eye view, giving you a different perspective of the forest’s wildlife. A great opportunity for nature lovers and birdwatchers! The remainder of your day is at leisure to explore the area on your own. (B)
Day 5Arenal–Guanacaste
Today, journey to the North Pacific Coast, specifically to the Guanacaste beaches area, where you will stay the next three nights. (B)
Days 6-7Guanacaste
Enjoy two full days at leisure for optional activities or relaxing around the pool or nearby beaches. (B)
Day 8Depart
Transfer to Liberia International Airport for your flight back home. (B)
